Good Morning ASW readers!! I hope all is well with everyone. So, last night I went out with a friend of mine to hang out and catch up at a bar/club on South Beach. I will have to admit getting me out the house to go to a bar is hard work because I am usually in bed by 9:30/10:00 each night. Yea yea yea I know…I’m such a grandma lol. Am I the only one who goes to bed that early on a regular? The club scene isn’t my thing anymore but going to a concert, dinner, movies, gatherings, etc are right up my alley!

Since I am on holiday break and I didn’t have to work in the morning I decided to go. Yay! I had a great time and I actually stayed in my heels for the majority of the time. I brought my flats with me just incase we went somewhere else and I’m glad I did. Since I knew it would be a little chilly/windy out I decided to wear my long sleeve sequin Charlotte Russe top, my new animal print scarf and new heels. I’ve had this top for about a year and last night was my first time wearing it. I received this animal print scarf  as a gift from one of my 2nd grade students. Lucky me!

As you can see I have on my new McGray Pumps by Call It Spring that I purchased from JcPenney this past weekend. I love them. I have a pretty good amount of heels but I didn’t have a black high heeled chic pump! I am very happy with my purchase. So my hair is up in a bun and I don’t think that I have ever done a post with my hair all the way up like this. Within the past 4 months my hair has truly grown out and it is much stronger than it was at the beginning of the year. I try my hardest not to put that much heat on it and if I do I use a great heat protector before flat ironing my hair. I do plan on doing a post in the near future about the different hair products that I use and where I get my hair done. I do plan on washing it on Friday so my hair will be down again in the next outfit posts.

Hello my lovelies!!! I have missed writing on here sooooooooooo much! I looked at my last post and it was on August 16!! OMG. I don’t know what got into me. Between starting back to work and studying for the GRE…I am a busy lady!! Sometimes I get frustrated from everything that is going on but when the going gets tough..I smile…It’s free therapy! I always remind myself that this is only temporary and then I move forward with my day!

The weather hasn’t been good in South Florida lately either. It has rained for 7 days straight Which means I have not been able to get good pictures at all. I do have some stuff to share with you all but I will save that info for my upcoming posts. Well if you follow me on twitter and facebook you already knew that I was featured on the lovely Cathy’s blog called Minister of Style for Florida Bloggers Bring the Heat! Ok, enough of my rambling and apologies lol. Let’s move on to the good stuff. Earlier tonight I went to eat dinner at Bahama Breeze! I love this restaurant and I usually order the same dish EVERY time lol. The Jerk Chicken Pasta is my FAV. This dish includes: jerk chicken breast, fresh asparagus, mushrooms tossed in a rich parmesan-herb sauce with bow tie past.  Doesn’t that sound good? Great food always puts a smile on my face. I usually clean my plate each time I have it lol. #Noshame. ↓ I felt the need to have a fruity alcoholic drink so I picked the Breezy Sangria. It was delicious!

In a couple of days I plan to add a category to my blog called “Schooling Life” where I talk about my day at work, show you neat things that my students made and of course what I wore to work that day. I want to separate my blogposts about work, my days on weekend and night life. Beyonce inspired me to start this new category from her song off her deluxe album “Schooling Life”. If you haven’t heard it then you are missing out. It’s my default ringtone. I love that song! I think I listen to it every morning on my way to work lol. I plan to start the category next week so look out for that!

I wanted to go to dinner tonight very casual so I opted for a Forever 21 racer back tank. Instead of wearing my regular skinny jeans I decided to wear my wide legged denim jeans! I scored these jeans at Marshall’s for only $10. I’m #winning! lol

Since I didn’t get a good shot of my jewelry at the restaurant I decided to give you all a close up! I love all these pieces and how they flow together. The earrings and the necklace are not a set but they match so well that it could actually be one.

Hello again my lovely readers! I hope you all had a great day! My day was great. This is my last week before I have to report back to work so I am going to enjoy it. So guess what? I won ANOTHER GIVEAWAY!!! The lovely blogger Lilykai did a giveaway where you could to win a $25 gift certificate to use on her online vintage boutique! Well she picked three lucky readers and I was one of them! WOOT WOOT! ::waves hands in the air like I just don’t care:: lol. So excited! I love winning giveaways.

I’ve had some of these items for such a long time! The denim vest is about 5 years old and it was originally a denim jacket. I cut off the sleeves because first of all the jacket was too tight lol. Secondly I have been searching and searching for a denim vest and I couldn’t find one so one day I was looking at blogs and I saw the post that my blog buddy CurvesandConfidence did where she gave instructions on how to create your own denim vest, click here to see how you can make your own. I followed the instructions and within 2 minutes I had a cute, chic denim vest!

The necklace that I am wearing below is a necklace that I purchased from Thierry Accessories last week. Isn’t cute? I love it. I am such a sucker for accessories. I need to make another necklace picture frame because I have too many necklaces on one frame. My sister and I went to a little mexican restaurant called LIME Mexican Grill! I’ve been to this place 3 times in the past week and a half. Yea their food is that yummy! Two weeks ago I had lunch with my blog buddy CurvesandConfidence at Lime and she also enjoys eating at this restaurant. It is addicting. They sell Fajitas, Burritos, Quesadillas, salads, you name it! The restaurants accommodates everyone’s eating preferences. If you have a Lime Mexican Grill near you I would definitely suggest that you check it out. Great food with great customer service! 

Today I had the Lime Burrito which included: chicken, lettuce, cheese and sour cream. They don’t put a sauce in your burrito but they have an area where you can pick different sauces/salsa to add to your burrito. My absolute favorite salsa is the Pico De Gallo. It contains freshly chopped tomatoes, onions, cilantro, and fresh lime. It is not spicey at all. Make sure you try it if you ever visit this restaurant!

Good Afternoon everyone ::waving:: lol. I hope you all are having a wonderful Tuesday. I know I am. This morning I woke up and ate a yummy Special K bar (I don’t eat cereal) before hitting LA Fitness! I have been working out A LOT lately and I am proud to say that I am seeing results. I’m uber excited because I hit the gym 3 to 4 times a week and I usually spend about an hour in the gym. After my workout I head to the sauna. If you work out right and you feel sore after you leave the gym, I suggest that you sit in the sauna for at least 10 minutes after your workout. Yes it is HOT but it is worth it. I walk out of the gym feeling great and not sore at all.

Anyways, for lunch today my sister and I went to Sweet Tomatoes. This place is awesome! It is buffet style and it serves mainly healthy foods such as soups, salads, frozen yogurt, etc. Today I had a ceaser salad, chicken noodle soup, a little serving of chicken alfredo pasta and for dessert I ate a brownie I think I had a great meal. Good afternoon my lovely readers!!! I hope all is well with you all. I’ve been having a pretty good week so far…can’t really complain! Yesterday, after work I went to the gym with one of my friends and we had a good workout. I’ve been going to the gym consistently now and I am very proud of myself. I attend the gym atleast 2 to 3 times a week! I am starting to see some results from going but I am far from where I want my body to be. I can hear some of you saying “You look fine to me”. Yes! I may appear small but I still need to stay healthy and the only way to do that is for me to exercise like I’ve said a numerous amount of times! It is also great to find a workout buddy! My friend and I motivate each other and it makes working out fun. Thanks Camille

Well after my awesome workout I came home and I was ready to announce the winner of my giveaway and then my blog had an error message every time I tried to upload pictures or save my post! I was so sad. I wanted to upload my OOTD and couldn’t do it so now I’m sharing with you all what I wore. THEN…The MIAMI HEAT lost which was not a good because now the series is tied up 2-2! I am praying that we win game 5 else we are going to be in big trouble.

Good evening my wonderful readers!! I hope you all had a wonderful Tuesday. Well as you can see this post is completely different than any others lol. This week is spirit week for the school where I teach and each day the students are asked to wear certain items. Today was Mix and Match day. Can you guess who was best dressed? ME! I did better than the students! It took me a total of 10 minutes to get dressed. I basically just threw on all of these clothes. I felt very silly but I remember when I was in grade school I never really participated in mix and match day so I decided to join in with the kids. Oh they loved it! Its fun to just step out of your comfort zone and do something that you doubt you would ever do.

Yes I do wear sneakers. I own a couple of pair. I rarely wear sneakers though unless I am working out or I will wear my red converse. My mother wore these shorts back in the 80′s and she gave them to me a while back and I think that I could actually make them look cute but today they were going to look a mess along with my other items that I threw together.

*This Wednesday 20, 2011 I advise you to hurry into your nearest Kohls department store. They are having a ONE DALE SALE  from 8am-11pm. A great amount of store items will be 50% off! I will definitely be there!! Hopefully I can get some cute stuff .
